Alex Brown is a two-time Locus Award finalist, and a queer, biracial Filipino American writer who loves rooting for the final girl—especially if she’s a monster. Alex is also one of the co-creators and producers of The Bridge, a spooky, folklore-filled audio drama podcast that has over 1,000,000 downloads to date!
Alex's YA comedy-horror debut, DAMNED IF YOU DO, was a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection and a Locus Award finalist. Alex's sophomore YA Horror-Comedy, REST IN PEACHES, was a Locus Award and Dragon Award finalist. Alex edited the YA Horror anthology, THE HOUSE WHERE DEATH LIVES, which also received the JLG Gold Standard distinction.
Alex co-edited NIGHT OF THE LIVING QUEERS, which featured stories solely from queer authors of color.
Alex's next YA novel, a Dracula retelling set during the Great Depression, will be published by Feiwel & Friends in 2028.
